Sittin’ On Top of the World
With ‘Sittin’ On Top of the World,’ host Ryan Spearman takes a wide-ranging look at what he calls the “vernacular music of yesterday and today,” the American roots traditions that shaped everything from the blues to swing. While he is known for his unimpeachable taste, he is not afraid to throw a wildcard into his playlists – as evidenced by the inclusion of the Squirrel Nut Zippers in his 2018 Top 10 list. The band’s album, ‘Beats of Burgundy,’ is great, of course. But who else would have thought of it?
