Top 10 Albums of 2018: Boogie On Down with Hound Dog Brown

Boogie On Down with Hound Dog Brown
Three of the albums on this Top 10 list were recorded by Paul Niehaus IV of Blue Lotus Recording in St. Louis: Walter D. Greiner’s ‘Live from the St. Francois Mountains, Vol. 1,’ Ms Zeno’s ‘Back in Love,’ and ‘St. Louis Blues Society Presents 17 in 17.’ I figure that Ms Zeno might explode into the American mainstream consciousness on the strength of her release.
It’s nice to see that Nick Moss has received, at long last, a contract with Alligator Records, the most successful independent blues label in the country. Al Holliday and his crew also deserve congratulations for yet more nice recordings to broadcast for the great, round Earth. Our younger St. Louis talents are carrying the music forward, ya see?
